Some Cards...

Well here a re a couple of cards I've made using the Boofle die-cuts, quick, easy & no brainwaves required! lol

Hello!

It's been a while since I last blogged, no excuses, except that I didn't have anything interesting to show. I think I have now though.
A friend set me a challenge, this friend has set me many 'challenges' over the past few years & it's her way of kicking my butt into doing something creative, so thanks Missus mwaaaaah
Anyhow, back to my 'mission'... to create a notebook within a notebook. Not so easy, but fun to work out & then create. So here is the finished creation, would love to know what you think...

The papers used are from Papermania, Rose Garden, the rosettes were made from the same paper stack, a couple of very old buttons from my sewing box, a Martha Stewart border punch which was then distressed using Tim Holtz Walnut Stain. Then some organza ribbon in cream & pink to finish off.

A Special box for a Special person

Here is my latest creation, a plain balsa wood box which I then painted with acryllic white paint. Once dried, I then used a crackle glaze & to finish off the base, I used Tim Holtz distress ink.

For the top I used a flourish from my stash, a Tilda (coloured by a very clever friend of mine) & finally some mulberry roses.

Well what a lovely sunny day! Just a couple of pictures to day of what I've been trying to 'get up to' in my wonderful new craft room. Hubby has worked so hard in getting it stripped, painted, papered, then painted, carpet down & all my various storage into here, so I can 'play' 'til heart's content :)

So Sorry...

I want to apologise! It has been so long since I last posted but many things have happened over the last months. The main one being hubby, animals & I moved from our wonderful house into a smaller bungalow. Why? Well because the medics have told me my legs will only get worse & a wheelchair looms on the horizon...
It also meant, as we had to move to a bungalow we weren't able to bring out Gorjuss girls with us, but I'm happy to say, they have a wonderful new home with close friends of ours.
BUT on the upside, it means I get to craft more without the feeling of guilt! lol So that's a bonus :)
Talking of crafting, I have been trying my hand at a few new things, these include Crochet, loom knitting & I'm trying to tackle mini-albums! You know the ones made from paper bags or envelopes? Well, so far, not good lol
Anyhow, here are a few pictures of what I have managed to create over these months...

Well, I saw this in the latest DoCrafts mag & just had to see if I could make it! lol Took me longer than expected (nearly 2 days!) but oh, so worth it.

Finally Got Out lol

Hello World! Well I have spent nearly 5 weeks in hospital, all but 2 days, plus the time its taken me to settle in again at home, but now I think I'm finally getting sorted! wink wink
I have tried to keep myself busy in the few weeks I've been home and here are a few of the bits n bobs I've managed to do. I have made some cards too, so as soon as I've took the pix, I'll be popping them on here too.

Well I managed to get to my Sister's this past week & spent some days with her in Leeds, it was wonderful, thanks Sis xx xx We didn't do alot but we did laugh alot :^)
So now I am ready for if the Doctor sends me to hospital for my regular Lumbar Puncture...

New Piece...

Hell Blogland, how are we all on this windy Sunday? Well I went to bed early last night not feeling 100% but woke up this morning about 6am!! Feeling better I decided to 'attack' a jewellery pattern I started yesterday which I bought from on-line. 7 hours later I was finished & really happy :^) with the end result too! lol
In between finishing the necklace off I evn managed to start a stew off, dumplings will be added later :^), put the washing on, change beds, phone my sis AND do the chickens some lunch of potatoe & carrot peelings with sweetcorn, peas and a little Museli thrown in for good measure! Mustn't make a habit of doing too much before lunch or hubby will want it doing all the time and then where would I find the time to craft? hehehe
Anyhow, here's the picture, would love to hear what you think of it...

Tut Tut Tut

Well, I have been 'slack' as my sis would say, not been able to get on my blog for a while now. This was because of a) Christmas b) Other commitments and finally c) I have been suffering with an unbelievable tummy bug yuck!! Anyhow, less of the excuses, back now, so time to tell you what has been going on...
A friend contacted me recently & asked if I could make her some samples of cards from cd's she has designed & created herself. Talented is an understatement!! Well.... how could I refuse? Firstly it gave me a purpose to be in my craftroom and secondly I got my hands on the cd!! Whooooppeeeeeee :^) So the next x-amount of cards are from her cd.

More Cards for 2010

Hello, hope you are all keeping wrapped up warm against the snow here in the UK? Here in Lincolnshire they reckon the temp is staying between -2 to -4C Brrrrrrrr We are soooo not used to this weather, think we have become quite complacement about how we deal with it. :^)
So, now its the time of year when the kids, small & BIG, start to get excited cos 'Santa is coming!!' My own son, 21, & hubby, I think are the worst! lmao They want the decs up, and have already started to ask 'Whats Santa bringing me?' They are just a pair of big kids! hehehe
Anyhow, here are a few more cards I have made which are ready for posting to hopefully bring a smile to someone's world :^)
